Parri Console — Salvaged Reclaimed Elm, Hand-Crafted Mortice Joints, 150 x 30 x 90cm
Hand-crafted with traditional mortice joints, the Parri Console tells the story of its timber openly — every knot, grain variation, and natural marking a quiet record of the wood's life before it became furniture.
Salvaged from villages in the Shandong and Gansu Provinces of Northern China, the reclaimed elm brings a warmth and character that new timber simply can't replicate. Slimline at just 30cm deep, it sits flush against a wall without intruding on the room, while the 150cm width gives it a generous presence that suits hallways, dining rooms, and living spaces equally well.
A piece with genuine provenance, and a surface that rewards a closer look.
Styling
Style with a considered arrangement of ceramics, a low vase, and a stack of art books — the reclaimed elm surface has enough character to carry minimal styling without looking bare. Hang the Tera Mirror above for a warm, cohesive hallway moment, or pair with the Katrina Accent Tables from the same salvaged elm family for a cohesive natural timber arrangement.

Reclaimed Elm
Natural wood is a living material. Over time, your piece may develop small splits, knots, divots, or joint lines — these are character marks, not flaws. Timber will also expand and contract slightly with changes in temperature and humidity, particularly across New Zealand's seasons. This is completely normal.
Care & Maintenance
* Clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth
* Dust regularly with a soft cloth
* Use tablecloths, runners, coasters, and placemats to protect surfaces from heat and scratches
* Always lift furniture when moving — never drag or push, as this can loosen joinery
* Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause cracking, splintering, or colour change. If furniture is in a sunny spot, move decorative items regularly to prevent spotting
* Avoid polishes or waxes containing high levels of silicon or petroleum distillate
