Hey there, my name is Kate Evans. As a qualified interior designer, I began my career with a full-service studio in Brisbane before falling in love with Wanaka and never looking back.
Over the years I've worked with some wonderful clients and extraordinary homes, and I like to think I've become something of a walking encyclopedia of products and where to find them.
Design that makes life better
I believe design is about more than the way something looks. Good design should genuinely improve your life, creating spaces that make you take a deep breath and relax the moment you walk through the door, brushing off that hectic feeling of the world outside.
My inspiration comes from nature. Hand-printed fabrics, natural materials, honest finishes. Bold yet uncomplicated. Simple yet elegant. I'd call it Relaxed Contemporary, though I'd rather skip the labels and get to the heart of what you love, then create something as unique as you.
You are the heart of your home. Great design should always start there.

Yes, we moved from Brisbane mid-Covid lockdown. It was an adventure.
