Gia Dining Table — Reclaimed Elm, Shandong & Gansu Provinces, 180cm & 220cm
The Gia Dining Table is handcrafted from reclaimed elm salvaged from villages in the Shandong and Gansu Provinces of Northern China — timber with a story already written into it, now given a new chapter at the centre of your dining room.
Every knot, grain variation, and natural marking makes each Gia table genuinely one of a kind. Sturdy, characterful, and built to last well beyond a single generation of shared meals. Available in 180cm and 220cm lengths to suit both intimate dining rooms and more generous open-plan spaces.
Styling
Pair with the Roland dining chairs for a warm, textural table setting where the rope cord seat adds visual depth alongside the reclaimed elm grain. Keep the table surface simple — a linen runner and a low ceramic centrepiece is all it needs to let the timber speak.

Reclaimed Elm
Natural wood is a living material. Over time, your piece may develop small splits, knots, divots, or joint lines — these are character marks, not flaws. Timber will also expand and contract slightly with changes in temperature and humidity, particularly across New Zealand's seasons. This is completely normal.
Care & Maintenance
* Clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth
* Dust regularly with a soft cloth
* Use tablecloths, runners, coasters, and placemats to protect surfaces from heat and scratches
* Always lift furniture when moving — never drag or push, as this can loosen joinery
* Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause cracking, splintering, or colour change. If furniture is in a sunny spot, move decorative items regularly to prevent spotting
* Avoid polishes or waxes containing high levels of silicon or petroleum distillate
