Sheepskin Occasional Chair — Australian Sheepskin, Iron Frame, Elm Arms
Sink into something special.
The Sheepskin Occasional Chair is the kind of piece that stops people mid-step. Combining the warmth of genuine Australian sheepskin with a sleek iron frame and rounded elm arms, it brings effortless texture and character to any living space — from a sun-drenched Wānaka sitting room to a cosy mountain retreat.
Plush, tactile and undeniably inviting, the natural cream tones of the sheepskin work beautifully with timber, leather and linen — an easy yes alongside almost any interior palette. Whether you're styling a reading nook, adding personality to a bedroom corner, or anchoring a lounge with something a little unexpected, this chair earns its place.
Styling
Position it where its full sheepskin texture can be appreciated — beside a floor lamp in a reading nook, or as a tactile contrast piece alongside a leather or linen sofa. Its natural cream tone works particularly well against darker timber and warm earthy textiles nearby.

Care & Maintenance
Give your sheepskin a good shake regularly to freshen the fibres and remove loose dirt
For larger pieces like floor rugs or bean bags, vacuum every now and then to remove any accumulated dirt or crumbs
Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth — always dab, never rub, working from the outside in
For stubborn spills or stains you're unsure about, take your sheepskin to a dry cleaner with experience cleaning sheepskin products
To preserve the original colour, keep out of direct sunlight — as a natural fibre, prolonged exposure will cause fading or uneven colour change over time
Washing
In general, sheepskin doesn't need a full wash. Regular shaking, vacuuming, and prompt spot cleaning should be enough to keep it looking its best.
That said, sometimes a wash is unavoidable — we get it. If you do need to wash your sheepskin, use a cool delicate cycle with low spin and a mild wool detergent. Once done, give it a gentle stretch while still wet to help retain its shape, then drape over a chair and allow to dry naturally out of direct sunlight.
Do not tumble dry under any circumstances.
