Wanaka Armchair — American Ash, Full Grain Semi-Aniline Leather, Brass Buckle Backrest
Named for the place that inspired it, the Wanaka Armchair is a laid-back contemporary armchair designed for the kind of living that slows down and stays awhile. Crafted in American Ash with full grain, hand-dyed semi-aniline leather, it pairs considered comfort with genuine character.
The signature backrest — joined canvas and leather straps held together with a brass buckle — is a quietly distinctive detail that makes the chair as beautiful from behind as it is from the front. With a high-density foam seat and feather and fibre back cushion, this is an armchair built for both style and everyday comfort. Available in Tan, Black, and Brown leather, each in an Ash frame.
Styling
Position it by a fireplace or in a reading corner where its full character can be seen from all angles — the brass buckle backrest deserves to be visible. Layer a sheepskin or wool throw over one arm for warmth in the cooler months.

Good quality, full grain leather recognises that each piece is unique. It doesn’t try to disguise or cover-up the individual markings and variations. Instead, full grain leather pays homage to the inherent and beautiful markings, which are simply a result of life led by the animal.
Leather is a natural product and requires regular cleaning and conditioning to maintain the beauty and suppleness of the leather. Body oils, heat and sunlight may result in changes to the colour and appearance of the leather.
WE ALSO RECOMMEND
Keep your furniture out of direct sunlight, New Zealand has some of the harshest and most damaging UV rays in the world, prolonged exposure to sunlight will have an adverse effect.
Dust your furniture on a regular basis with a soft cloth or vacuum with a soft brush, dust and hair will breakdown the leather overtime.
Immediately clean any spills using a slightly damp cloth, be careful not to rub or use excessive amounts of water.
Do not use household cleaning products including detergents, oils, furniture polish and saddle soap on your leather furniture, and keep products containing ammonia or alkalies away from your furniture as it can damage leather beyond repair.
If you use a recommended semi-aniline leather-cleaning product, always pay careful attention to the instructions and test it on an inconspicuous area first.
A recommended semi-aniline leather protection cream can be applied to offer more protection against staining and scratching but this may alter the colour of the leather slightly. When applying recommended creams always pay careful attention to the instructions and test on an inconspicuous area first.
