Bentwood Dining Chair — Rattan Seat, Curved Crossback, Black & Natural
The Bentwood Dining Chair draws on the traditional appeal and honest charm of the original 19th century bentwood design, reimagined with a contemporary edge. Its textured curved metal crossback, arched base accents, and tapered legs give it a quietly distinctive silhouette that sits comfortably across a wide range of interior styles — from contemporary and Japandi to rustic and eclectic.
Handcrafted with a natural rattan seat that brings warmth and texture, the Bentwood is a timeless dining chair that earns its place at any table. Available in Black and Natural finishes.
Styling
Pair four or six around the Matthew or Willow Dining Table for a relaxed, considered dining setting, or mix with a contrasting bench seat for an eclectic table. The Natural finish works beautifully alongside warm timber surfaces and woven textiles nearby.

Natural wood is a living material. Over time, your piece may develop small splits, knots, divots, or joint lines — these are character marks, not flaws. Timber will also expand and contract slightly with changes in temperature and humidity, particularly across New Zealand's seasons. This is completely normal.
Care & Maintenance
* Clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth
* Dust regularly with a soft cloth
* Use tablecloths, runners, coasters, and placemats to protect surfaces from heat and scratches
* Always lift furniture when moving — never drag or push, as this can loosen joinery
* Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause cracking, splintering, or colour change. If furniture is in a sunny spot, move decorative items regularly to prevent spotting
* Avoid polishes or waxes containing high levels of silicon or petroleum distillate
