Cove Dining Chair — Ash Wood Frame, Leather & Fabric Seat Options, 7 Variants
The Cove dining chair combines comfort and style for everyday use. Its slightly curved backrest provides ergonomic support, while the clean lines and minimalist silhouette complement decor styles from modern to rustic with equal ease.
Available in seven frame and seat combinations — Vaasa, Natural, Brown, and Black frames paired with leather in Beige, Tan, Black, or Brown, or a Natural frame with a linen fabric seat — the Cove adapts to a wide range of interior palettes without losing its considered, understated character. Lightweight, stackable, and requiring no assembly, it's built for gatherings, family dinners, and the everyday rhythm of a well-used dining table.
Styling
Pair four or six around the Willow Dining Table or Vanessa Dining Table for a warm, cohesive dining setting, or mix with a contrasting bench seat for a more relaxed, eclectic table. The Natural Frame + Linen Fabric variant works beautifully in softer, more coastal-influenced interiors, while the Black Frame + Black Leather brings a bolder, more contemporary edge.

Fabric: Beige Leather
Frame: Ash Wood/Vaasa Stain
Wood:
Natural wood is a living material. Over time, your piece may develop small splits, knots, divots, or joint lines — these are character marks, not flaws. Timber will also expand and contract slightly with changes in temperature and humidity, particularly across New Zealand's seasons. This is completely normal.
Care & Maintenance
* Clean spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth
* Dust regularly with a soft cloth
* Use tablecloths, runners, coasters, and placemats to protect surfaces from heat and scratches
* Always lift furniture when moving — never drag or push, as this can loosen joinery
* Avoid direct sunlight, which can cause cracking, splintering, or colour change. If furniture is in a sunny spot, move decorative items regularly to prevent spotting
* Avoid polishes or waxes containing high levels of silicon or petroleum distillate
Leather:
Good quality, full grain leather embraces each piece's individual markings rather than disguising them — natural variations that simply reflect a life lived by the animal. As a natural product, leather requires regular cleaning and conditioning to maintain its beauty and suppleness. Body oils, heat, and sunlight can all affect its colour and appearance over time.
Care & Maintenance
* Clean and condition every 3–6 months, depending on usage
* Keep out of direct sunlight — New Zealand's UV rays are particularly harsh, and prolonged exposure will damage leather
* Dust regularly with a soft cloth, or vacuum with a soft brush attachment, as dust and hair break down leather over time
* Clean spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth — avoid rubbing or excess water
* Never use household cleaning products, detergents, oils, furniture polish, or saddle soap. Keep products containing ammonia or alkalies well away, as they can cause irreparable damage
* Always test any recommended cleaning product or cream on an inconspicuous area first, following the instructions carefully
A semi-aniline leather protection cream can be applied for extra protection against staining and scratching, though this may slightly alter the leather's colour
